GUIDE

Thanks for choosing The KEEPSPACE to host your gathering.

Here is our user guide with all the information about the space. Feel free to text or call if you have any questions.

The Main door is located along NE Oregon Street. This is the ADA accessible entrance. 

You are being video monitored at this entrance. You will find the elevator access in this lobby.

BATHROOMS

Directly across the hallway from Rae Loft. These do not require a code. They are ADA Accessible. 

 

BIKE STORAGE

Down the hall past Rae Loft and on the right. Please lock your bikes and take them with you when you leave at night. 

 

CONFERENCE ROOMS

Must be reserved in advance and are available for two hour blocks of time.

JBL SPEAKERS/ BLUETOOTH

Power on the back of controller

Click round bluetooth speaker button once to connect.

(It should turn blue)

Look on you phone in settings/ bluetooth for MB200- to connect.

(2nd sound only if you requested 2 systems)

Turn on on the backside next to power cord.

Click round bluetooth speaker button once to connect.

(It should turn blue)

Look on you phone in settings/ bluetooth for EON208P to connect.

 

MICS

Make sure JBL is MIC Receiver is turned on. Turn on mic on the the mic.

DECORATIONS

Feel free to decorate the space how you would like. Here are some things to ensure the space will be nice for others. For wall hanging we like gaff tape/Stage tape OR 3M products called "Damage free hanging suspensions," found on amazon or hardware store.

  • DO NOT use tape on the walls that can pull the paint.

  • DO NOT put holes or tacks in the walls. 

  • TAKE what you bring.

  • NO CONFETTI OR GLITTER

  • NO HELIUM BALLOONS (they can get trapped on ceiling for months) 

  • IF BALLOONS HAVE GLITTER IN THEM MAKE SURE TO CUT THEM OVER A TRASH CAN DURING TAREDOWN.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES & RULES 

● Please be respectful of noise in the hallway. This is a commercial building with many offices. 

● Do not drag furniture on the floors. If you must move furniture, please ask a staff member first. If there are none to assist you, all furniture must be moved on dollies or carried. You will be charged for damage if the floors are scratched or scuffed during your event. 

● No amplified noise above 70dB before 5:30 pm. This is a business within a commercial building and it will disrupt the fellow tenants to create lots of noise. 

● No hosting your event in the hallway - all event activities and noises/sounds must be contained within my suite. 

● No outside alcohol unless served by our staff and you have pre-paid for our bar package. 

● All food must come from a commercially certified and inspected kitchen. No potlucks or home cooked meals allowed in order to prevent food borne illness. Multnomah County Environmental Health requires this. 

● Examples of a commercially certified and inspected kitchen include: ○ Professional Catering Company / Take Out (food cart, restaurant, other) / Costco Deli (Deli platters must be placed over ice and refrigerated during transportation. Do not leave meat and cheese out for more than two hours.) 

/ Elephants /Nicholas / Tamale Boy Catering …etc. 

● No open flame candles - please use LEDs 

● No confetti, confetti cannons, glitter, etc. 

● No smog or smoke machines 

● No bubble machines

● Helium Balloons

● Please do not remove any drink containers from the venue - this includes taking them to the bathroom with you. This violates our liquor license, even if it’s a non alcoholic beverage.

● No outside bartending services allowed. We have a liquor license and will staff our own servers. 

● Absolutely no fireworks or pyrotechnics 

CLIENT EVENT EXIT PROCEDURE 

Please remove all materials you brought in that do not belong to the venue. You will be charged a small cleaning and pest/rodent fee if you leave garbage or food behind. This fee is $15/can. 

This includes but is not limited to: 

● Food packaging and containers 

● Food debris and compost 

● Decorations 

● Wrapping and packaging from food and decorations 

● Your cardboard boxes 

● Drink containers 

● Bottles, cans (if client provided any) 

CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS

  • Please get all empty drinks info bus tubs 

  • Check coat rack for your guest belongings. 

  • Make sure you take what you bring and take down all decorations

  • Please bag up your trash and take it out. 

  • Please sweep up any food debris/spills caused by your event to prevent rodents and pests. Brooms are located in the small closet next to the kitchen, where the liquor license sign is hung. 

  •  The dumpsters are located along NE 23rd Ave on the curb. There is both recycling and trash at this dumpster location. 

  • Compost and glass recycling is located underneath the main stairs - next to the elevator behind a black curtain. 

  • Please make sure to check for any lost and found belongings. We are not responsible for your lost and found. 

  • Please make sure the sound system is properly shut off or ask a staff to help with this. All volume buttons must be at 0%/off before shutting off the power. 

  • Please use remotes for mini split units (heaters/AC) and turn off all units before you leave or ask for a staff to help with this. 

  • Please unplug the projector cable or ask for a staff to help with this.

  • Please place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher (carefully - wine glasses need to go on the bottom in the plate organizers), and add soap and run/start. 10. Please stack your chairs if this is a staffless rental - but do not drag them. 11. Please make sure all lights are turned off. 

  • Please make sure the door is locked before you depart - there is a small knob on the back of the door handle that will turn horizontally when the door is locked. Do not use the deadbolt.
